The Company has taken conscious steps to support and sustain communities located around their plants. With increasing importance placed on sustainable development, we have spearheaded programme that contribute to a stable tomorrow.

The Company strongly believes that the sustainable community development is essential for harmony between the community and the industry. It endeavors to make a positive contribution to the underprivileged communities by supporting a wide range of socio-economic, educational and health initiatives.

Our CSR interventions are focused on enhancing quality of life of the community in the vicinity of business locations by way of improving community healthcare and education, and also developing civic infrastructures besides generating sustainable livelihood options promoting sports, art and culture.

“Spreading Smiles through CSR”, Super Smelters Ltd. have indeed brought the priceless Smiles at the faces of these 130 Little Angels of God. Sponsorship for the Event at NGO Satyabharati was of utmost significance as it has bridge the Gap between the Less Fortunate in life and the Fortunate and taking a giant step to improve the Health & Sanitation conditions of these 130 Angels of God. NGO Satyabharati is one of the oldest and reputed NGO in the outskirts of Hooghly near Konnagar. The NGO has 130 Girl Child and 38 Old Age Members and has recently celebrated its 75 Years of Existence. “We Look forward for our Continued support to NGO Satyabharati”

Super Smelters Ltd. donates ambulance under Corporate Social Responsibility Realizing the indispensable role of ambulance services in emergency pre-hospital medical care, patient transfer, ease of access to health services particularly to rural areas, Team Super Smelters has undertaken initiative of providing Ambulance for quick access to healthcare for marginalised populations. The ambulance has been donated to CHINSURAH AROGYA (NGO) to provide better medical and relief services to the needy people of the villages surrounding in and around CHINSURAH. Mr. Gopal Krishna Sharan, Chief Mentor of SSL and Mr. Ishant Jain, CSR Nodal Officer handed over the ambulance to the NGO in the presence of the local MLA, Mr. Amit Mukherjee and other dignitaries.

This Primary School situated at Mamudpur is for the Under Privileged Students or the Adivasi Community Kids of the region. There are three teachers and one Head Master in the School. In order to improve the bridge of education between the Students and Teachers, ensuring better educational infrastructure and reduce school drop-out, we the SSL have adopted the said School to impart quality education to these Adivasi Students of the region who are vulnerable to Education with better infrastructure. It’s proven that stressful environment can affect the learning abilities of the Kids. Spacious and refurbished buildings and well-ventilated classrooms are a must in schools.

Computers Education has become an integral part of the Society today. By taking this in mind, Super Smelters Ltd. sponsored a Computer Training Center by donating 10 Computer and its accessories to KT Society. NGO KT Society provides Computer Education to the underprivileged Students of the Society, approx. 100 Students get free Computer Education every year.

Self Help Group (SHG) an initiative taken by Super Smelters Limited with local and Ladies of Ikra Village with a noble motive to develop Women empowerment in the surrounding areas. Initially we have provided 6 Sewing Machines with required Raw Materials for making Hand Gloves which is required in the factories on regular basis. As a result those local Women’s are now working earning to support their families. We have also appointed a local female Trainer with Honorarium who provides proper training for making the hand gloves and other required items. “Empowering Women through CSR”

Super Smelters Ltd. donates Bus Stop for Ladies near Asansol Court* As the Asansol Area faces Heat Waves across the region, it becomes very difficult for the daily Commuters to travel specially Ladies during Peak Summers. Super Smelters Limited has undertaken an initiative to build an AC Bus Stop for Ladies near Asansol Court, thereby promoting Healthcare and empowering Women under its Corporate Social Responsibility Activity. The Bus Stop was inaugurated by the Mayor Mr. Jitendra Kumar Tiwari along with other dignitaries.
